Sacred Heart Diet (lose 10 lbs n a wk!) RecipeSunday, August 10th, 2008 Notes:
This 7-day eating plan can be used as often as you like. If correctly followed, it will clean out your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. After only 7 days of this process, you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds and possibly 17 pounds, and experience an abundance of energy.

Servings: 1-7

Ingredients:
SOUP:

* 1 or 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
* 3 plus large green onions
* 1 large can of beef broth (no fat)
* 1 pkg. Lipton Soup mix (chicken noodle)
* 1 bunch of celery
* 2 cans green beans
* 2 lbs. Carrots
* 2 Green Peppers

Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender.

This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.

DRINKS:

* Unsweetened juices
* Tea (also herbal)
* Coffee
* Cranberry juice
* Skim milk
* Water, water, water

Directions:
DAY ONE
Any fruit (except bananas). Cantaloupes and watermelon are lower in calories than most other fruits. Eat only soup and fruit today.

DAY TWO
All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw, cooked or canned veggies. Try to eat green leafy veggies and stay away from dry beans, peas or corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinnertime tonight reward yourself with a big baked potato and butter. Don’t eat any fruits through today.

DAY THREE
Eat all the soup, fruit and veggies you want. Do not have a baked potato. If you have eaten as above for three days and not cheated, you should find that you have lost 5-7 pounds.

DAY FOUR
Bananas and skim milk: Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbohydrates, as is the milk but on this particular day, your body will need the potassium and carbs. Proteins and calcium to lessen the cravings for sweets.

DAY FIVE
Beef and tomatoes: you may have 10 to 20 ounces of beef and a can of tomatoes, or as many as 6 tomatoes on this day. Eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SIX
Beef and veggies, eat to your heart’s content of the beef and veggies today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with green leafy veggies but no baked potato. Be sure to eat the soup at least once today.

DAY SEVEN
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and veggies, again, be sure to stuff yourself and eat the soup. You can add cooked veggies to your rice if you wish.

By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated on this diet, you should have lost 10 to 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 17 pounds, stay off the diet for two days before resuming the diet again.

This diet is fast. The secret lies within the principle that you will burn more calories than you take in. It will flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well-being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcoholic beverages at any time. Because of the fat build-up in your system. Go off the diet at least 14 hours before any intake of alcohol.

Due to the variety of digestive systems in individuals, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day three, you will have more energy than when you began, if you do not cheat. After being on the diet for several days, you will find that your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran or fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you may find that you don’t need caffeine after the third day.

The basic fat burning soup can be eaten anytime you feel hungry during the seven days. Eat as much as you wish. Remember the more you eat, the more you will lose. You can eat broiled, boiled or baked chicken instead of the beef. Absolutely no skin on the chicken. If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for the beef on only one of the beef days. You need the high protein in the beef for the other days.

Continue on the diet as long as you wish and feel the difference both mentally and physically.

DO NOT - DO NOT
No bread, alcohol, carbonated drinks (including diet drinks). Remember, absolutely no fried foods.

DO - DO - DO - DO
Drink plenty - at least 6 to 8 glasses - of water a day, as well as any combination of the following beverages: black coffee, unsweetened fruit drinks, cranberry juice and skim milk.

This diet comes from the

Determined to Lose It!

  Well I’m back.  Had lots of computer problems.  Life threw some curve balls at me.  Hubby had rotator cuff surgery in April  He had a 75% tear and a bony promience that they had to “shave” down.  He was not able to use his arm for a month!  My MeeMaw who is 91 was in the hospital but she is doing much better.  So guess what?  I ate all the wrong things and am now larger than I was when I left!

 I need lots of support, weight loss tips.  I struggle with a diet. Please give me tips on this!  I hate being the size that I am.  My goal is to lose 50 pounds!

Here I Go Again!

 Ok, I just weighed and I’m back to 180.  YUCK YUCK!  I’m going to get off my behind and really try this time!  My plan is to walk in the mornings.  EVERY AM!  Even if it is raining, I can walk around Walmart!  I need advice on eating.  I work full time so I have trouble with lunches.  My hubby likes to grab lunch out.  Any advice?  I’m so tired of seeing myself this big!  I refuse to buy me anymore clothes until I get this excess weight off.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I feel like I am stuck and can’t get moving!

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

Merry Christmas!

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we can put under the tree, that we forget the real meaning of Christmas.  It’s Jesus birthday. Yes there are fewer presents under the tree this year, but there is a lot of love in our home!  Finally, my daughters and I have a home full of love.  My ex was so mentally sick that he could not love us as we should be loved.  He was so wrapped up in himself, he didn’t even know we existed!  Paul (my husband now) is so loving and is a good provider for us.  We are so blessed to have him in our lives.  This season, I ask each of you to stop and think about all the blessings in your lives.  It doesn’t matter what is under your tree, it matters who gathers around your tree.  Remember to tell your family that you love them everyday!

Merry Christmas!  It is my prayer that 2009 will be a better year for us all!

Holiday Blues

  Haven’t been on much lately cause of several reasons.  (1)  I can’t resist all the foods that our patients and drug reps bring into our office.  (2)  We just spend $500 on hubby’s car to get it driveable so we are really strapped for Christmas.  (3)  My ex is getting out of prison in April and even though I am supposed to get child support, the thought of him walking around scares me.  He is courted ordered to stay away from my girls and I.  That didn’t stop him from coming to our house last time.  Yes I have moved and remarried but he knows the general area that I live in.  I don’t trust him for nothing.  (4)  I’m just having a pity party for myself and can’t seem to get past it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m so thankful for my buddies!  It is my prayer that we all pause today and count our blessings!  Financially, it has been a rough year for many of us.  We can be very thankful that we have roofs over our heads!  Families and friends that love us very much!  We should be thankful that we have an abundance of food and don’t go to bed at night hungry!  Be thankful that you can worship as you see fit.  We have so many freedoms that we take for granted!  I’m remembering our soldiers and their families today.  Please pray for their continued safety!  We are truly a blessed country!  Yes we have our faults but we also have so many freedoms!

Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!  Maybe if we keep saying our blessings when we sit down to eat, we won’t have to time stuff our faces!  lol

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!

Need Prayers Please!

Our best friends live one neighborhood away.  They have been renting for about 2 years.  The lady put the mobile home up for sale.  It sold yesterday.  They have 30 days to get out!  Paul and Hazel have a 7 year old daughter.  They don’t make a lot of money.  They won’t get their deposit back as they have a cat and a dog.  They don’t have money for a deposit.  The lady is a real estate broker.  She showed them 2 places last night.  They are dumps!  Hazel called me crying and so upset.  It is so sad that they have to move before Christmas.  Right at Christmas!  The landlady would not renew their lease since she knew they were selling the place.  It is a beautiful singlewide.  Please pray they can find something and that the landlords will work with them as far as a deposit.  Thank you!

Sad News/Happy News

 Hubby was on the road leaving our development.  We live 4 miles down from the main road.  Almost at the end, a deer jumped out of nowhere.  The deer was killed.  Paul was not hurt.(Praising God for this).  It did mess up the entire front of his car.  He has one headlight.  You can see the radiator and battery.  He was able to drive it into town.  It is a 91 crown victoria.  We only have liablity on it.  Sooooooo there is no insurance money coming our way.  He took it to his friend that owns a auto repair shop.  He is going to give us a price tomorrow.  We might be totalling his car.  The bad part is we don’t have money to buy a new one.

On to the happy news.  I was on Craigslist last night.  There was a black cat that a family was giving away.  Midnight took up at their house.  He was thin and had a cut on his face.  They took him in and took him to the vet.  Their cat does not like him so they had to give him away.  It is supposed to be freezing tonight.  When we found out he is staying outside, hubby said “go get that cat!.”  He is beautiful.  About 1 1/2 years old.  We are not “replacing” Twinkie but rescuing a cat from freezing!

More good news-Paul has been up for a promotion at work.  They told him today that probably Dec 1 he will start his new job with the city.  He will be off the street department and working mostly inside as load management coordinator.  This also means a pay increase!

The Lord is so good to us even when things look dim!

Just thought I’d share our news today!

Heavy Heart

rip.jpg Our “Twinkie” was killed today.  Twinkie was our yellow and white cat.  He was about 1 1/2 years old.  He came to our house one night as a tiny kitty.  We already had a cat named Scooter ( and still do).  Twinkie ran in front of a cat this afternoon.  He was killed instantly.  My hubby and girls were home.  They saw it.  Abbey (14) feels like it is her fault because she let the cats out while they were playing.  We have told her that it is not her fault.   Abbey called me at work.  She was so pittiful.  I left at 3:30 to be with her. Please pray for us as we are very sad.  Scooter keeps meowing for Twinkie.  It is very sad to hear that.

My Goals For This Week Nov. 9-15

Drink lots of water, no breads, eat lots of veggies and fruits.  Walk the waterfront every am before work.  At night work out on my new friend..The Bean.  Eat cheerios or oatmeal for breakfast every am.  Be sure to eat my healthy snacks during the day.
